Stories of Grace: Atalie Brawner
I have attended church my entire life. However, it took until my teen years for my faith to take action. I constantly found myself in a spiral of doubt and worry that led me nowhere. I had no desire to read my Bible. Committing my life to Christ was something I reserved for when I was older and more mature. In 2024, my dad almost lost his life to cancer. At that point, witnessing the fragility of life, I began to trust in Christ alone for my salvation. The verse that I held tightly to my heart was Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”
I strive everyday to devote my life fully to Christ. I was once dead in my sin but Christ saved me, washed away my sins, and renewed my life.
