Stories of Grace

June of 2020 was the first time our family attended Grace Rancho after being invited numerous times by the Haddad family. At the time, the church consisted of about 80 individuals, and services were held in the parking lot due to the COVID pandemic.

After attending several services and enjoying the fellowship and expository teaching, we decided to make Grace Rancho our home church. We then began to attend the Membership Matter Classes to learn the importance of church membership which was completely new to us.

Since then, we have been continually equipped and taught about our role as members of the body of Christ. We are learning what it means to love and serve one another, and the importance of daily disciplines that help us grow in holiness, faith, hope, and love for our God. We’ve also come to value the simple yet meaningful time set aside for family worship with our children. Through this, and through the relationships we’ve built with other families who share our faith, our home has grown stronger in Christ. Our children have developed a deeper understanding of the Bible and are growing alongside friends on the same journey.

A few years ago, our family was deeply blessed as Marrwan received biblical counseling that helped him identify and address the root causes of fear and anxiety through Scripture. Together, as husband and wife, we’ve benefited from being part of a growth group where we studied fear of men while reading When People Are Big and God Is Small by Ed Welch. Recently, during Marrwan’s surgery and recovery, we were surrounded with love as many in the church rallied to provide meals, prayer, and much encouragement.

We are so thankful for our church family, our pastors, and all those who serve in ministries that have helped us grow in our faith—such as the Men’s Equipping Group, Women’s Bible Study, Growth Groups, Kids’ Ministry, and Youth Group.

Reflecting on our journey, we now see how the faithfulness of God has used Grace Rancho to deepen our walk with Him and strengthen our family in Christ.

We pray that, as a church, we will continue to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Pet. 3:18).
