We started reading the Harry Potter series as a family. In the middle of book 2.

On another note, John Currie's book The Pastor as Leader: Principles and Practices for Connecting Preaching and Leadership has been wonderful.

Things I Listened To

We enjoyed listening to this Ben Rector album on vacation. Supernatural is quite fun. (Here's a link to short film he made for his music videos - we watched it as a family on vacation).

Things I Watched

Al Mohler reminding us to pray for the local church - especially those in big cities like DC

Things I Thought

I preached on the mercy of Christ at Grace Simi last Sunday evening. It truly is a marvelous thought: "He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor; Our sins they are many, his mercy is more." Praise God for his mercy. I need it every hour!
