Stories of Grace
We arrived at Grace Rancho in January 2024 after several moms from our homeschool group recommended it. At our previous church many of the questions we had as new Christians were being left unanswered, and we felt disconnected from the rest of the church community.
From the very beginning, we were welcomed with open arms, reminding me of Matthew 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” We immediately felt at home as members introduced themselves and their families. After a month of attending, we began the membership class, where we learned about church membership (Rom. 12:4-5) and the importance of trusting our elders (Heb. 13:17).
We quickly began to see how the Lord was working in our lives. Whether it was Joel asking what book in the Bible I was reading or Mark praying for me over Thai food, we were being shown what it meant to be part of a church family—one that truly cared for us and supported us every step of the way. Within five months of attending, Erin and I committed our lives to Christ and were baptized.
As our faith grew, so did our understanding of biblical community. We joined a small group, where we studied God’s Word and built lasting friendships. Our children are thriving and excited to attend every Sunday, learning foundational truths about Jesus from teachers who genuinely care for their spiritual growth.
One of the most powerful ways we have experienced God’s grace has been through the love and care of our church family. In difficult moments, we have been prayed for, encouraged, and supported in ways we never expected. Whether through conversations after church, shared meals, or the kindness of those who reached out, we have seen firsthand that the church is not just a place to gather on Sundays but a family that lives out the love of Christ in every way.
Looking back, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for how the Lord led us here. From feeling lost to becoming part of a thriving, Christ-centered community, our journey has been one of transformation. Our prayer is that anyone who walks through the doors of Grace Rancho will experience the same love and grace we have—because we know firsthand how life changing it is to be truly welcomed into the family of Christ.
